I wish I were able to meet you in person, but for now this will have to do.

I was born and raised on a farm near a small town called Canby, Minnesota, that rests near the South Dakota border.  With two brothers and two sisters, all older than I, I spent most of my life wishing I were older, bigger, and stronger.  I learned to read at a very early age, and have loved books since I can remember mom reading to me on the living room couch.

People often ask, what did you want to be when you were a child?  I’m not sure I knew what it was, but I knew I loved to give speeches.  My dolls, my cats, and my dog were often subjected to lengthy dissertations.
